Confidential Consultation

Mediation Referrals for Attorneys and Advocates in South Africa

Refer with confidence. Your client remains yours.

We practise alternative dispute resolution exclusively. There is no litigation department to refer your client on to, no competition for the brief, and no interest in the dispute lasting a day longer than it must. MV Inc. accepts referrals from attorneys, advocates and advisors nationwide, in family, civil and commercial, Rule 41A and workplace matters.

Three ways to work with us

Refer. Co-work. Prepare.

  1. Refer a matter for mediation

Family, commercial, Rule 41A or workplace. We convene within the court's timelines, you attend and advise throughout, and the settlement is drafted for you to make an order of court. Your client returns to you.

  2. Co-work a settlement

Complex commercial and succession matters where a mediator's early involvement, alongside the legal team, shapes the negotiation before positions harden — and brings valuers, forensic accountants and specialists in under one duty of confidence.

  3. Prepare your client — and yourself

The MV Inc Preparation Protocol, delivered privately to your client before a mediation convened by anyone. The same protocol is taught to practitioners in our training programmes and the Mediation for the Modern Attorney series.

What you can rely on

A referral is a partnership, not a hand-over.

  • 01

    No conflict, ever

We do not litigate, and we do not act for parties. A conflict check is run on every referral before we accept it.

  • 02

    Court-aligned paperwork

Agreements to mediate, confidentiality undertakings, joint minutes, mediator's reports and settlement memoranda, in the form the court and your file require.

  • 03

    One business day

Referrals are acknowledged within one business day, with a proposed mediator and dates. In Gauteng, we work to the Protocol's 30-day window.

  • 04

Your fee note is your own

Our fees are agreed with the parties up front and disclosed to all. We do not share fees with any attorney or advocate acting for a party in a mediation we conduct — fee-sharing is unethical, and it compromises the mediator's neutrality or the perception of it. We pay no referral commissions and expect none.

Refer a matter

A private conversation before anything else.

Tell us, in confidence, what your client is facing. We will tell you plainly whether mediation is the right route — and if it is not, who to speak to instead. Referrals are acknowledged within one business day with a proposed mediator and dates.
